Property Damage Litigation Attorney
POSITION SUMMARY:
An established and growing law firm is seeking a skilled and dedicated attorney with significant experience in first-party homeowner property claims to join its dynamic team. The ideal candidate will bring a strong background in representing policyholders in disputes with insurance carriers and a deep commitment to protecting the rights of homeowners.
This role requires a proven track record of success in handling claims involving hail, wind, fire, water damage, and other property-related perils. The attorney will be responsible for managing a diverse caseload, litigating complex coverage issues, and pursuing favorable outcomes for clients throughout Texas.
Qualifications:
REQUIREMENTS & SKILLS:
- Full-time
- Experience Required: 2 to 5 years of litigation experience (either plaintiff or defense) experience. Property Damage preferred but not required.
- Member of the Texas Bar and in good standing
- Manage a caseload of first-party homeowner property insurance claims from inception to resolution.
- Conduct thorough legal research and analysis.
- Prepare and draft pleadings, motions, discovery, and other legal documents.
- Take and defend depositions of insureds, adjusters, experts, and corporate representatives.
- Negotiate settlements and participate in mediation and arbitration.
- Represent clients in court, including trials and hearings, as needed.
- Communicate effectively with clients, providing regular updates and clear explanations of legal strategies.
- Collaborate with paralegals, legal assistants, and other attorneys.
- Stay abreast of developments in Texas insurance law and property claims.
